<p>The SOX fell 12% last Thursday and on Friday to 12,217. It was just shy of 14,000 on June 3rd.</p><p>Friday’s 10% fall was the steepest since March 2020.</p><p>The culprit was seen to be Broadcom putting out a weaker than expected forecast for its AI ASIC sales which sent its shares down 20%.</p><p>This triggered AI bust fears with Nvidia falling 6%, Micron 13%, Marvell 17% and AMD 10%.</p><p>The SOX (PHLX Semiconductor Sector Index) has come a long way since this time last year when it was around 5,000.</p>
